Today (23rd March 2020) Recycling Collections in Chiltern and Wycombe is suspended. This includes both Paper and Card (Box) and Mixed Dry Recycling (Cans, Glass and Plastic in Bins). Recycling collections at communal properties (flats / HMO’s) will take place. To confirm, mainline household kerbside recycling at suspended today.
The suspension is due to driver and loader shortages. The District Council are working with contractors to secure extra staff so that any disruption is as short as possible. Further updates will be provided later today.
General Rubbish, Food and Clinical Collections
Collections are still happening as business as usual for these materials.
Some Serco vehicles are currently operating with just a driver and one loader. A typical round has a driver and two loaders. This means we may experience some delays to collections and residents waste could be picked up later than they are used to. Any large scale delays will be put onto the website.
